Conductor
We’re so glad you’ve found the White River Orchestra! Our goal is to share the joy of music with the whole community—through concerts, collaborations, and the friendships that grow along the way. Whether you’re here to enjoy a performance, support the arts, or even join us in making music, there’s a place for you with WRO.
Isaac M. Denniston
Isaac Martin Denniston is a music educator and conductor based in Central Indiana. He currently teaches Choir, Broadcasting, and 6th Grade Band at Northside Middle School in Muncie and serves as conductor of the White River Orchestra.
Isaac first became connected to the orchestra through the late Rachel Eldridge, a former conductor of the group, whose mentorship and vision continue to inspire his work. In addition to his role with WRO, Isaac served as band director of the Anderson University Concert Band through 2025 and has been music director for multiple productions at the Muncie Civic Theatre.
Outside of these roles, Isaac has leads a thriving choral program at Northside Middle School, where his choirs have consistently earned top honors at state contests and performed at the Indiana Music Educators Association Conference. He also regularly clinics with choirs and bands across Indiana and has presented at the regional ICDA conference.
