The approximately thirty-member East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra is comprised of a core group of adult musicians from this section of the state, infused anew each school year with a changing roster of area university & high school students.

The orchestra organization’s goals are:

Our goal is to promote the appreciation and performance of light classical music among new audiences, particularly families and local residents who may face financial barriers to attending live events. We strive to provide accessible musical experiences that enrich our community and foster a lasting love for the arts. creating opportunities for everyone to enjoy live music, we aim to inspire and connect people through the joy of sound.

to bring diverse musicians together for community service and mutual personal growth. We strive to create an inspiring example of music-based, fostering connections and understanding among participants. Through this initiative, we aim to harness the power of music to make a positive impact in our community while enriching our personal journeys.

to enhance the concert experience in our region by providing Free Concert programs in close proximity to local neighborhoods. We aim to make live music accessible to all, fostering a deeper connection between the community and the arts. By bringing performances directly to our audiences, we hope to create memorable experiences and the joy of music together.
For over twenty years, our organization has been dedicated to sharing the beauty of classical music, originally known as the Sinfonietta and later as the ECICO: East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra. Our mission is to make this art form accessible and non-intimidating for everyone.
